MSHS Students clean Steinhauer PondThe MSHS Environmental classes have been involved in the UNLESS project ran through the Philadelphia Zoo. The project creates awareness about an endangered species and an environmental problem. Students are to create a project that spreads awareness about the topics they choose. This year the classes choose the Panamanian Golden Frog and Water Conservation.  Their focus for the water conservation aspect of the project is Steinhauer Pond.

Students created flyers to educate awareness about the importance of water conservation and ways individuals can help at their own homes. The next step was to clean up the pond. The students went down to the pond and cleaned as much of the area inside the pond and around the pond as they could. They will also be planting aquatic plants in my to make the pond more sustainable.
