Hello Maude Wilkins Family!

My name is Steven Ormsby and I want to introduce myself and to let you know how excited I am to be the new principal of the Maude Wilkins Elementary School.  The warm and welcoming greetings I have received from staff, families, and excited students have been overwhelming.  I could not be more excited or feel more welcomed!

Throughout my educational career I have taught in the Long Branch, Gateway Regional and Maple Shade School Systems. Along with my teaching and administrative experience, I have also been a proud lifelong member of the Maple Shade community. 

After many valuable teaching years, I had the good fortune to continue my educational journey as an Assistant Principal at the Maple Shade High School and completed six years in that role.  I have had many wonderful, varied, and valuable positions throughout my career and I look forward to using the skills learned as I enter the role of principal at Maude Wilkins.   I am looking forward on continuing to build on the traditions and accomplishments of Maude Wilkins through a positive collaboration with the parents, staff and students. 

I would like to thank you for allowing me to be part of the great Maude Wilkins family.  I have always had an open door policy for staff, students and parents and will continue that philosophy at Maude Wilkins.   I look forward to meeting all the dedicated families of the Maple Shade community and feel very lucky to work with such a talented and passionate staff.  The community that we will continue to foster and enrich throughout our years together will be invaluable.  I am very much looking forward to it.  I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer full of laughs and great memories!  Hope to see you soon!
