Congratulations to Mrs. Finley’s class, representing Brazil, for earning first place in our STEM Olympic Bobsled Challenge! Mrs. Mallow’s class, representing Spain, finished in second place, followed by Mrs. McMonagle’s class representing the USA, who earned third place honors. Each of these classes was also crowned the champion of their respective grade level, showcasing outstanding teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills throughout the competition. We are proud of all of our students for their innovation, collaboration, and Olympic spirit! Also, we'd like to give a BIG shout out to our STEM PLC team members who created this amazing activity for our whole school!
Our recent Right Choice raffle winners traded the cafeteria for a special treat last week! These standout students earned a private lunch from their favorite local restaurant, enjoyed alongside a teacher of their choice. It was a wonderful afternoon of great food and even better conversation. Congratulations to our winners for consistently making the "Right Choice" and modeling excellence at Maude Wilkins!

The Maude Wilkins' Read-A-Thon is officially underway! To celebrate, Ms. Loomis and Mrs. Sexton hosted a kickoff assembly to showcase the prizes students can earn and introduced our "Guess the Masked Reader" challenge. Let's "Unmask the Magic of Reading" and get started right away! All proceeds will help fund our upcoming field trips!

Our students and families had a fantastic time building motorized Legos at our Lego Lab Explorers event tonight! It was wonderful to see everyone working together, problem-solving, and bringing their creative engineering ideas to life. Thank you to MSEA's F.A.S.T. Our students had an exciting visit from the Maple Shade Fire Department today! Firefighters delivered valuable lessons on fire safety and answered questions about the specialized equipment they use in the field. Thank you, MSFD!

Friday was a SUPER day here at Maude Wilkins! We held our first Spotlight assembly of the year, and the theme was all about HEROES. We celebrated our Spotlight Awards, we recognized our Attendance Heroes, and we revealed our school-wide Wilkins' Way Statement—the message that will guide us all year long, created from the voices of every class! The cherry on top was when our students who completed the summer reading challenge celebrated their accomplishment with ICE CREAM from Mr. Softee and with EXTRA RECESS!
Eloise and Liliana are making the most of these final summer days, one great book at a time! Congratulations to both of these readers who will receive prizes for participating in our Little Libraries contest!
